These rules apply across every channel of the network: the WhatsApp group, the Facebook group, the LinkedIn page and this site. Everyone who joins is taken to have accepted them.
- No client information is shared. Names, company numbers, figures, documents and screenshots are prohibited. Questions are asked anonymously and in general terms.
- Fees and prices are not discussed. Service charges, price lists, suggested minimum fees, and any sharing out of clients or territories are prohibited under competition law.
- Suspicion about a specific client, a money laundering report, or an ongoing investigation is not discussed in the group.
- Information shared is general in nature and is not professional advice. Make your own assessment and confirm it against the official source before acting on it.
- Posts about regulation state the source link and the relevant tax year.
- Advertising, promotion of services, brokering and chain messages are prohibited.
- Job adverts are posted only on the designated day. Discriminatory wording is not used, and the position, location, working arrangement and how to apply must all be stated.
- The member list, telephone numbers and group content are not shared outside the group.
- Respect is fundamental. No colleague or firm is targeted, and disparagement is not permitted.
- Content that breaches these rules is removed. Repeat breaches end membership.

Complaints and moderation
If you see content that breaches these rules, write to info@tanuk.org.uk. Reports reach the founder and are reviewed. You can appeal a moderation decision to the same address.
