What the network is for

There are hundreds of Turkish-speaking accountants in the United Kingdom. We work through the same regulations, we hit the same deadlines in the same weeks, and we run into the same difficulty when we look for a colleague to hire. Most of us have never met. TAN UK was built to close that distance.

REGULATION

We consult each other on HMRC, Companies House, Making Tax Digital, VAT, payroll and anti-money-laundering obligations.

TEAM

We connect practices looking for colleagues with people looking for work.

CERTIFICATION

We share first-hand experience of AAT, ATT and ACCA exams, licensing and practical experience requirements.

Who can join

  • Licensed accountants and accounting technicians working in the United Kingdom
  • Professionals working in accountancy practices
  • Candidates sitting exams or completing practical experience
  • Accounting and finance students

Membership is by application. We ask about your professional position and, where you have one, your membership or licence number. Every application is reviewed individually.

What TAN UK is not. It is not a professional body or a regulator, and it issues no licences, authorisations or titles. Members remain accountable to their own regulators. It is not attached to any accountancy practice or commercial organisation. Information shared within the network is general and is not a substitute for personalised professional advice.

Guides

Three guides compiled from official sources, covering UK accountancy qualifications and setting up your own practice. These are written in Turkish: AAT roadmap, ATT and ACCA, setting up your own practice.

Why I built a network for Turkish-speaking accountants in the UK
When I started practising here, the hardest part was not the exams. It was having no one to ask.
